WTB pre 2000 dash inserts

Post by knockdolian »

Hi all, has anyone got a set of dash inserts for sale. Ive been told they can be dangerous from sun reflection. Im in UK where the sun hasn't shined since 76 !!
If what ive been told is true there must be a pile of them in Florida and the desert.
Thanks :england:

Marv at Chopper City maybe.

Dangerous?? I have not found that. We get lots of sun and I have never had them shine in my eyes for more than a few seconds and I have had them on most bikes and trikes I have owned.

You are going to need the 2000 and down version...

Thanks for the information. I've amended the subject.

The first BH I bought in 2003 had the chrome, the owner had them covered as the shine when it catches was full on.I have done thousands of miles in 5 countries,I find they can blind the Sheet out of you when caught right

Point taken. my paint is chipping off around the screws thought these would be the obvious answer. More than happy to take advice from those with first hand experience. Are they made from anything other than polished stainless. I can make some but would like the emblem on them. Sorry for any offence.

That's an idea. The inserts were my first thought as Ive seen them on a lot of bikes and trikes. lets hope
ventury gets lucky with the bike he's after. He only lives a couple of miles away from me. Id be happy to accept his offer.
