Hi all,

Waiting for new front and rear tire to be mounted. Hate waiting for when good weather, been to few nice non rainy days this year.

Anyone else waiting on stuff to be done to be able to ride?
Driving my car today... I need a backup bike for when the boss is down and out.

My kickass 502 trike is down and has been for a month...most likely another two weeks..

I am blessed to have a smallblock as a backup that I bought in April to resell...never expected to use it this much but glad it is here..

After 10 years on a SB I fullfilled the itch for a BB in 2012.
Ever since I have a backup bike which is worth it
Unless both are down like last autumn to this spring :banghead:

Mine is down due to a handful of ridiculous little things. I've tinkered with it so much over the past few years that I'm just dog tired of it. Will let it sit and rot for a little bit....

I hear ya. Ironically, all of the modifications that I have made have rarely, if ever, contributed to my down time. The trans and clutch perform flawlessly, the water pump works well. It's always something else. 90% of my problems have been fuel related, more specifically, carburetor issues. I have spent over $1,000 on carburetors and carb rebuilds. For a few more bucks, I could have gone to a Holley Sniper FI unit.

Yeah I'm pretty much in the same boat as all of you. Mine is a 1997 so single speed and heating issues on the highway, installed larger rad, bigger brackets etc to get it to cool somewhat reasonably at high lest speeds. Have changed calipers, rebuilt carb due to knob functioning secondaries, larger front pulleybfor lower Roma at Hwy speeds etc etc. List is 3 pages long in the last 3 years, but mostly due to age of the bike and stuff just being worn or aged from non use.
But the single speed tranny is bulletproof, so I have fun hammering on it.
Hopefully she comes home this Friday all ready for the weekend unless I find something else.

Steve

Still a load of fun when it runs well
