Noticed that mine seemed dry. Anyone have recommendations on what would be best?

Flywheel lube?!?! Try some relative bearing grease ok

I've checked & lubed my Throttle cable as suggested by Barry - but I've not seen "Relative Bearing Grease" for sale anywhere.

Or is this a joke?

I can't imagine why anyone would want to lube their flywheel. Yes, relative bearing grease is a joke. Ask any sailor

Muffler bearing grease also will do the job nicely...

i have found that while it is difficult to locate, Rott-sheist works the best for flywheel lube, as long as the minimum maximum coverage guide is adhered to. in case your wondering it states the minimum maximum coverage guide on the tube. as i FYI,,, .08mm mimimum thickness to .145 mm maximum thickness.
this does need to be only placed in the gear teeth and not on the edges of the teeth. no sense in wasting any.

AZ - exactly what part of your flywheel are you trying to lube?

All kidding aside, the only place that sees any grease on a flywheel is the inner most area where the pilot bearing goes... and that shouldn't even be on the flywheel if you do it right.

And, only clutch bikes have a pilot bearing

And only clutch bikes have a fly wheel.
98 and newer BH's all have a flex plates.
Sometimes called a fly wheel but it is
a flex plate.

It's only a flywheel in a clutch bike, I agree. Calling it something it isn't doesn't help anyone! Haha.

If someone wanted to look at both side by side or carry them, they would know the difference and never forget.

Only thing I can think of would be lubing the teeth for starter engagement....

I think brake drum lube will work in a pinch. FWIW, You never lube a flywheel. I would also like to know what the factory told you

Your original post asked a question that was silly. Anyone with the mechanical acumen to check their oil knows that a flywheel doesn't require any lube. We had a bit of fun, at your expense. Don't get your dick in a knot. Your refusal to admit that you might have been wrong and the rather nebulous comment about the factory supplying you with the correct flywheel lube specs caused the subsequent posts to become a bit cruel. You need to grow a thicker skin

I have asked twice...now the third time...what is the answer to this question?

I am man enough to apologize for making fun "IF" there is a legitimate answer to said question....you are making it look like there isn't.

I was told not necessary but a light amount probably would not hurt either.
