Hi mate,

I found this on Boss hoss site: there are a few there - length is everything (where have I heard that before?!)

5330212 Belt, Alternator 32" SB/ZZ4 Units / Used on SB 06/dn EA $16.73

I was taught not to assume but I expect /dn means 06 and down

Thanks, I'll assume 32" most be the circumpherence which seems very long. I'll measure it. Thanks again

In my experience in 15 years sometimes you actually have to take the mounting bolts out of the alternator...slip the belt on the pulley and then remount the alternator...this is due to not enough of an adjustment available for the alternator in its slider...

Never had to do this with the flat / serpentine belts but did on a couple bikes with v-belts

They have it covered with the flat serpentine belt..it was the V's that gave me trouble...

The early model alternator brackets broke often. Did that ever get rectified?

NAPA XL 7312

This belt will require you to remove the
alternator, put belt around crank pulley
and around alternator pulley, THEN you
reinstall the alternator.
This belt gives you a decent amount of
adjustment.
I carry 2 with me in my saddlebags.
Don't get the NAPA XL 7315 - - too long.

If I can't get a new tight Vbelt on I remove the alternator pulley and install it that way .

All V belts use the same numbering system. The last three numbers are the length. 315 is 31.5 inches. 317 is 31.7 inches, and so on
