Great work Ulli :!: I'm really liking the blacked wheels/Pully, what type of coating did you get done? I think JD did something similar to his.

I'm interested in blacking my wheels too. If it's done at Andy's shop (what i think it is), then it's black anodized. Andy used to powder coat wheels a couple years ago, but he found someone who anodizes large aluminum parts in all available colors in a first class quality, what he preferes over powder coating. All the dull black parts on the Stingray II 620cui bike are anodized aluminum, too - as far as I know.

Ulli, hast du die Felgen und die Narbe bei Andy machen lassen? Sind die Felgen schwarz eloxiert oder pulverbeschichtet?

Ulli, are the wheels and wheel hub done at Andy's shop? Are the tires black anodized or powder coated?

Hi Olaf,

yes, I have the rims from Andy, they are black powder coated.
Wishes you a nice weekend.

Well look what you have started there trend setter HogV8!! My friend Welder Boss in Denver building the diesel bike has also chosen blacked out wheels.

It's not for everyone but I love the blacked out look . Since I've had my wheels black powder coated I've had several other parts on my bike black powder coated and a few things silver powder coated . Believe me the powder coated parts are a lot easier to take care of and very durable .

OK! Kimi you is right completely. The color is dark purple.
In the shade it looks black and in the sun purple with red highlights.

Hallo Uwe,
sehen uns in Rüdesheim. Bisher habe ich nur positive Resonanz bekommen, es war noch keiner dabei der gesagt hat: scheiße gefällt mir nicht. Also muss es schon gut geworden sein.

Liebe Grüße auch an Heike, bis denne Ulli

yeah they used a paint mix called 'midnight' on mine that actually has blue and purple init as well - they reckoned that was the best way to make it look blacker...go figure. If you look close in the sunlight it has blue/purple flecks. Interesting ay

To me its just black n' chrome, yeah!
