What air cleaner please

Post by knockdolian »

Would anybody know what air cleaner I need please. Carb is eldlebrock 1901 and the cleaner is a pancake measuring 6.75" round by 2.25.
I had a look on BH site but there are no measurements.
Thanks

I believe the paper air filter was the same for all...there is a K&N that fits and there is an Extreme lid by K&N also that helps air flow..unfortunately the part numbers are at work...hopefully some chimes in

Thanks Barry. I did read wild bill post asking the same question but for a 502. I assume that would be a different filter given the sizes quoted ? I'd rather have K&N.
Thanks again

That's the one that I figured I had to use with the Extreme KN top filter . Without the Extreme cover you could probably use a little taller filter ( about 1/2" taller )

Paul
Until you get the K & N sent, take the old filter to your local Auto shop and ask them to match it like for like.If you say what engine/carb its for they wont have an on the system.they will have it under another Car brand
Like for like worked, assuming you get a helpful server

Thanks, unfortunatly we dont have a Wallmart anywhere near us. I had a look on ebay for the Holley 1485. The only ones available were in US.. I took Johns advice and went to a motor factors who had aa k&N E3260 that looks like it will do the job. Reusable as well.
cheers
