DeLand Bike Fest March 8

DeLand Bike Fest 2014 is Saturday March 8th from noon to 8pm in downtown DeLand.
We are not sure how many of you are planning on attending, but we thought it might be nice to meet for breakfast and then ride in as a group. There is a restaurant just off International Speedway as you enter Deland called "The Perfect Spot" that might be the perfect spot to meet, greet and eat.
I was thinking 9:30am might be a good time since I am not sure how busy they will be. This restaurant is part of Sky Dive DeLand. So the good news if they are busy we will be able to watch the skydivers while we wait.

I was planning on heading to DeLand for the rally in the rally - always a good time ... breakfast before sounds like a great idea. Hopefully I will be down in time to get trike back from Stan and make the meet/ride. More then likely I'll have my buddy Steve in tow on his FLHTK. If I don't get a chance to get my trike in time I will have my GSA with me, can I still ride over with you guys?

Buck - I am assuming we will be ready to roll about 11:15 but just a guess. Hopefully you and Susan can make it. Keep us posted.

DeLand Bike Fest was a success!! A group of us met at the Perfect Spot for breakfast and had a quite a show with all the sky divers falling from the sky. We met up with a few more v8 bikers as we headed into town. Once there bumped into a few more. It was a great turn out and even though it was a cool morning to start it warmed up nicely. We are on our way to Custom Works today and hope to see you there.

This was a very good event. seemed more like main street Sturgis than Daytonas mainstreet and i liked that as there were bikes parked in the center of the street also.
it was quite well attended and finding parking in the 5 or 6 blocks was almost impossible.
Outdoor restaurants and coffee shops were packed.
Dennis and I shot back there one day just for a Coffee and a bit of highway time in the seat...man I love my coffee!!
It is on my list of 'DO's" for Daytona 2015. We need to organize for next year and get a big turnout of V8's and get great parking..Bill???

agreed, definitely a good time. I'll look into it but I think our best bet might be to get a group together at a specific location and all ride in together early. Our group (about 7) got in around 12:30, I think, and we were pretty much close to filling the end of the center part of the street.
