PMs and Outbox

I've sent PMs successfully in the past, but have several that I've sent this past weekend that are still sitting in the outbox folder. Do they stay there until the receiving party opens them, or am I somehow failing to get them actually sent?

I believe you have it right, they will show in your outbox until read.

-you are both correct. The messages stay in outbox till they are read.

Damn. Now I'm kind of wishing that I hadn't badmouthed Bill and Susan in the PMs sitting in my outbox.

Ha ha - now I am curious but no worries we can't see them. In your user profile there is a place to select to get e-mail notifications and to also receive a pop up to notify you of a new message. If the member has both turned off then the only notification is that the envelope icon at the top of the page appears to be open.
