I have been searching for the smoke tires you use and not having any luck locating them. The few I did find are 15" tires :shakehead: Can you point me in the direction of your supplier?! What size tires are you running on your trike anyway?

Thanks

Don

Kumho only made a limited run of smoke tires in 2006 and then
decided to quit making them. Up until the last couple years there
were plenty of tires sitting in warehouses and deals could be found.
Then J.C. Whitney bought up the remaining stock and tripled the prices.

I still watch Ebay and might find a couple sets per year. Also try searching
Craigslist.

I run 255/70 x17 most of the time and that is the only size where
they offered Blue and Yellow. All other sizes were strictly Red (Pink).

Last time I checked J.C. Whitney wanted nearly $400 each and I might
be crazy but I ain't paying $800 for a set of tires I can demolish in a day.

Not sure what I'm gonna do when my stockpile runs out. :frustrated:

I appreciate all the info ... sucks Kumo decided to stop making them. I wouldn't be up to $800 for a couple hours of smoke either. I thought if I could find a set to play with for the week in FL then I'd get them but that is a little too steep!

I'll keep an eye and if I find a stock pile someplace I'll let you know!

Don, Also since these tires are at least 7 years old now I'm
not sure how much longer I plan on running them. The Red and Blue
smoke is neat but even if you stay into it for 6-7 seconds you are
going way over 100mph on pretty old tires.

I'm actually surprised J.C. Whitney still sells them due to the liability
issues.

Age of the tires never crossed my mind - very good point you make! I think my search for the smoke tires is over before I even start! Thanks
