I don't think anyone really knows if brakes locked up, if Harold was holding the brakes, if he downshifted and caused the skid, or if the bike had a malfunction. As far as I know it rolled fine to load up after the accident. I think the only way we will know what happened is if Harold remembers the situation just before the accident and can explain it himself.

I hope Harold will be able to talk this weekend when I go to see him. Maybe after he gets to go home, he might remember exactly what happened.
Till then, I pray for his full recovery..........

Bill It doesn't sound like Harold will be healthy enough for Lacrosse in June, Maybe a quiet mini rally in Kennisett sp. this summer to visit!

Hadn't heard much more about Harold's condition, but copied this post found on Facebook this morning. Don't know what happened:

Update: Harold Blocker has had an episode and they had to do an emergency trach. He will have surgery later this morning to repair emergency trach.

Tim..that is not great and was from 2 hours ago...did you see the 10 hours ago update :

Update: Harold Blocker Temp down this morning to 99.7 from 102.7 yesterday. Culture results usually take at least 48 hours so may not know results today. Kidney function up a little but found out he did get Lasix last night and will get it again today. Vent still on 14 but they did increase oxygen back up to 60% from 50%. Sedation level about same as yesterday. They may do a procedure today to do a more thorough cleaning of his lungs. If they decide to do so, Kara will be called to give permission before it is performed so we will know if or when it happens.

Barry, I missed that one. Sure hope he pulls through all this, but sounds like it's going to be a long tough road. Fingers crossed he gets better soon.

I just got home from the hospital.
Harold's swelling is way down.
He is about his normal size.
Color looks good.
He is sedated and resting.
I hope his body is healing.
Keep up the prayers, everybody.

Copied this post from 9 hours ago on Facebook:

From Becky last night: Some good news, Around midnight Harold started waking up. Opening his eyes, following commands and plenty of upper body movement. Only negative new is that while his urine output has increased his numbers are worse. The plan is to increase fluids some and see if that makes a difference. They will still do the "sedation vacations" to test his ability to follow commands but will keep him comfortable. Overall, think he had a good night.
This afternoon he was about the same. He still needs lots of prayers and has a long way to go. Thanks for asking and caring.

Sounds like things are improving a bit. Sure hope so.

Hi folks - this is an update on Harold as of a few minutes ago - I am going to paste the message I have from his sister Becky who is with him right now at the hospital. A few of us have remained in contact with his sisters during this time and we have not posted some things at their request. Becky just sent me this message and said it was ok to repost, so here it is:

He really is a lot sicker. He is very ill. I am spending the night. I cannot stand to leave him. He has been put through 3 big procedures and they now think he has pneumonia. There is no improvement but only decline. Please tell any of your friends that want to see to please come. He is unresponsive at this time. You can post that he is very ill, possible pneumonia and having renal procedures due to increasing renal issues. Continue to pray for him.

Again if you are in the area and can or wish to visit please do

Grumpy

From Harold's Facebook page 30 minutes ago:

UPDATE 2/9: No upgrades or improvements. Harold is a very sick man. The family asks for your 'miracle' prayers. (evidently the original post is so long its harder for people to find so here's the updates from last few days)

Harold's sister just texted at 7:30 PM on 9 Feb central time:

Harold's dialysis seems to be working.
His skin is cooler than it has been.
He is awake a bit. Occasionally answering questions.
The doctors are still trying to figure out what type
of infection he has.
Still serious condition.
Please keep up the prayers for Harold.

Harold is being treated for pneumonia.
Hopefully, the doctors will be able to
get a handle on this, with the hopes
Harold can get on with the recovery process.

I will go visit Harold tomorrow night(11Feb2016).

I will get home REAL LATE that night!

Will update Friday night.

Just a quick update on Harold from his sister Becky a bit ago. His renal functions are improving slightly, they have started him on 2 very strong antibiotics for the pneumonia. His white blood count was up a bit. He is more alert and his eyes more expressive - his nurse was optimistic this morning.
Lets hope this is the corner we have all been hoping for
