Update........ Well it happened again! About 50 miles the squeal came back and each ride it came back louder and stayed longer! :banghead: how frustrating! I hope this will save the next member a few hours/days/$$$. Ready........ The culprit (probably all along) was a loose crank shaft belt. I know ...

Buck - any chance during your repairs/maintenance did you zip tie a hose too tight? I remember this happened several years ago to a friend- drove him nuts to diagnose the problem, only to find a vent hose cinched in a zip tie.

I am on the fence. Looks really nice but you can no longer see the engine which is what usually attracts most on lookers and sets us apart from other bikes. I also would be worried about the lack of air flow. It would probably add a few extra MPG's and aerodynamics if that is what you are going for....

Congrats on the dealership! Bill had Arnott's on his 502 and loved them. He currently has a set from Kewl Metal that he does not like as much, so he is considering changing them to Arnott's.

Beside the ride report can you include the install?

Bills computer caught a virus -beware of a "Java update" he is now on his way to Texas to look at a truck and I just returned from Seattle. I have since restored his PC so he should be back in business. Don't know where everyone else is, I hope riding. Anyway, thanks for checking in!

Great information Norm!! I did everything but sanding the rotors with 80 grit. Guess what we will be doing this weekend!
