Re: Another reason to be nice to people
An armed society is a polite society. BTW,I know personally what is required to own a legally-registered automatic weapon and it's safe to say you won't see people carrying them around in their day to day routine.

Re: Chopper Pictures
Clint, These 4 are my bikes. My girlfriend rides the trikes. There is one more on the way in 2-3 weeks which is a 620 hp trike. The paint will match that of the white/tribal bike. I am leading the contest of the number of payment books by a long shot. My favorite saying is 4 more years and they are...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
Clint, I'll definitely take a look at the Challenger with the floats. Have you seen the flying inflatables I was talking about? In the neighborhood of $25k last I checked depending on model. I occasionally see one buzzing around here and am really taken with the concept. Not a real "get around...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
Clint, Absolutely beautiful birds! Yes, it's amazing how much more versatile, efficient and fun the experimental composites are. I still have an itch with the flying inflatables from time to time. Useful load and what they can do with respect to water are really impressive and beckon me. The though...

Here's a photo of my Starlite experimental before its maiden flight. Imagine a 260lb composite single-seater that is fully aerobatic and can turn & do loops like an R/C model.

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
I didn't know Fred personally but knew who he was,a pretty active fella in the ultralight community. My flying partner and I always wanted to fly down to Lakeland but unfortunately,we never accomplished that feat. A LancAir IV cruises almost 350mph but probably cost $250-500K to build. My four Chall...

Damn, looking at that bike porn almost gave me a woody! HogV8 needs one of those set-ups on the rear of his 2000 BH.

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
Having never been to that part of the world and enjoying the company of anyone who has, has had, or embraces the virtues of V8 bikes, I'm going to do my best to come next year. Elliot I used to make the yearly trek to the EAA Fly-In at Oshkosh every year so I know the area kinda well. Sherry and I ...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
The Trike does have a rear suspension, coil over shock. The ride is very good and would be suitable for cross country travel even though it is geared a little low (rpm is high at cruise.) The Trike has a smoother and more stable ride than my 502 did with the extended front end. The trike handles an...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
The last time I talked to Stan,he didn't see his bikes as cruisers,he thought the Hoss filled that niche pretty well.In our conversation he said he was aiming towards the person that would buy a custom chopper, don't know how many miles you have on rigid frame bikes but they are not for everyone,may...

Re: V8Chopper - Bullet Fast
The more I look at that thing, the better I like it. After reading about how it runs,I'm starting to look towards the future.
What kind of money would it take to have a trike like that built? We would want to tour on ours so could you add a hitch and pull a trailer?

What type of transmission do the V8 choppers utilize? Is it the same Nesco unit the Boss Hoss uses?

Re: DAVID & V8Choppers
Sherry and I rode down to Texas Boss Hoss yesterday,to get a new front tire & Rifle windshield assy installed and to have Rick kinda look over our trike. One caliper wasn't centered on its rotor so the pads were worn down almost to the wear marks. Also noticed that the right side of the front fe...

Re: V8 La Crosse, Wisconsin Rally
Sherry and I have been trying to decide between the Republic of Texas Rally in Austin or the LaCrosse BH Gathering, both in June. The R.O.T. Rally is huge but will probably feature the same hassles like Bike Week,Laughlin,Sturgis, etc so even though LaCrosse is almost triple the distance (1,000 miles ...
