Too Fragmented

Hey, Y'all
I do love this site but I find it to be too fragmented. What i'm saying is that it's hard to get an overview of the posts and there is the necessity to get just to the specific topic. I am finding the format difficult...Joe

Re: Dot 4 VS Dot5

Now, all fluids have a certain amount of compressibility Daryl...I'm an old dude and science has been my life. My rather extensive experience with learning physics tells me that fluids are absolutely non-compressible ..at all. This is why hydraulic lifters work and why hydraulic lifts work also. It...

Jack...too late. It's back together but with a much beefier 13 ball bearing instead of the stock 9. Hope it is sufficient....Joe

Re: Mallory Ignition system

Steve...So it's just as the Mallory. The Crane requires a rather large ignition box as well. We will be getting the Mallory distributor any day now and if there is a fitment problem, I'll be getting the same one you have...Thanks, Steve..Joe

My rear Wildwood setup rotor is 9 yrs. old and has a runout of 0.020". Is this acceptable or do I need a new rotor or can I have this rotor re-surfaced like a car rotor??...Joe

Re: Look what is happening in America !

Mike has become truly free in his inquisitive endeavors. He is no longer constrained by convention or what pleases others. Don't you just admire his FREEDOM to think and evaluate what he sees as it IS and not what we are told it has to be? Thank God for people like him. Maybe he can spur some here t...

Re: Electric V8 Killer

Big oil can kill anything particularly with our current "fuck everyone other than my buddies" administration. Hey don't worry...we bullshitted the public into an Iraq invasion and production of oil is up 9% over last year for Halliburton's profit and we are now in a geographical position t...

Elliot...Jeff is dismantling the whole bike piece by piece and is finding this cracked, that bent etc. Basically blueprinting the bike and making things the way they should be. It won't look or ride any differently but it will be done right!..Joe

Re: I Like This Site!

Well...it seems as though Lamont is threatening to throw me off the other site because I stated how this site has become attractive for lack of censorship. Hopefully, he will not do that because I do enjoy that site and appreciate the work he has done there. I just don't see the problem having two, ...

Peter...I can't believe you are saying there should be no modulation for the opening of the secondaries. If you remove the system, the secondaries will kick in whenever vacuum drops...like giving it more throttle on a hill or whatever! Not for me! ...Joe

Re: BHRA magazine

I didn't like it. Thae newer mags are slicker but it's always LA-LA-La land because no issues with the bikes are ever addressed. It's a factory sponsored optimistic and very superficial mag. Some nice stories and editorials but no meat. Just MHO....Joe

The interesting thing is that they are fixing a problem that seldom occurs. I know of no one who has had an output bearing failure. Clutches and planetary gears fry but these remain the same? I heard rumors about a NEW tranny which, hopefully, could be power shifted without breaking.. PS. BTW...
