Re: BB firing order

Well done Martin, I just wish you could have run the BB to Pullman - excess rules! I did not say It's safe to ride... I should consider repairing the speedo (allways on top speed) and the indicators (not working at all), change the motor oil and maybe the tranny oil too. And all of that befo...

Re: steam engine

By taking the heads off, because of steaming exhaust, we discovered that three bolts were not thight at the lower front of the right side. Therefore water nearly managed to clean the first cylinder. Now we wait for the redone heads and the new gasket. In 10 days all is ready to ride again...

BB firing order

My BB was sitting for about 5 month. The last time I rode it, it died on the road and it had to be take back home on a tow truck. I finally changed the ignition module and fired it up after recharging the battery and refilling gas... It did fire up  but sounds horrible, as if the firing ord...

Re: BB long exhaust WANTED

My customer in Mexico that bought the 2008 502 from me is looking to quiet the Beast a bit. I was thinking that the longer exhaust with slip-ons would be a good solution. Any out there for sale?? I rented mine out to a new BB owner in Switzerland. He did not want to buy the 'legal' ones but needet ...

Re: Let's Talk Transmissions ... and other stuff

Dennis, I posted your 'speech' in the German forum with a short translation.

There was one question I don't have an answer:
What's the 'Winter' tranny?
Is the 'Winter' tranny the one from Tom at MBH or is it a third party tranny made to fit the actual one?

Re: Edelbrock 1901 choke

On the SB I have the choke operating. I also have a Edelbrock 1901. There is one big difference to the 1904. The choke on the 1901 is fully mecanical and the choke on the 1904 is electric. So if your choke is active on the 1901 it's good for cold starts. As soon as the motor is warm it's not needed ...

Re: 2016 12th international Boss Hoss meeting in Germany

Usually the International Boss Hoss Rally at Pullman City Harz is the LAST weekend in June. It was some Event missmatch or overlapping that made the organizers to shift it one week earlier this year. You can camp in a tent in PC or if you come with a camper just outside of PC there is a field to par...

-- wrong booking -- So I've re-booked and the nearest I could get was in Allrode - a small country apartment complex, very private parking, 11kms away. A bit nearer too! It pays to double-check everything. Yes it's best to check twice... I'm quite sure I'll be there too. To stay with the crowd it's...

Re: Opinion on box truck vs truck/trailer

As I have no trailer nor a Van or truck to haul the bikes, I might not be a good judge. But here are my thoughts: In Europe you find a lot of vans with a foldable ramp or even with an electric ramp. With a strong motor they go as fast as 150km/h that's about 95miles/h! If you add air suspention you ...
