Don, we have similar systems here called db-killers. (db= dezibel). Of course it is not legel to take them out and ride without them ;) I think the way to go is still an electric system that is adjustable while you ride. It makes no sense to be stopped by police and then you say " wait a minute...

most guys that have a 502 run the open stock pipes, but, of course, it is not allowed Have not heard of any problems so far.

Jack, not that I know. In Germany it is not allowed, because a large plate sticking up in the air may become a razorblade in case of an accident. Still a lot of choppers here ride with the plate up. Having the plate on the side, is tolerated in some townships here, and forbidden in Austria. But poli...

But well, even these "new" ones are larger than the North American plate, so they still look ugly; but it is a small improvement.

a GPS might be very helpful for you, since BHC is not in Cologne directly but in a suburban called Hürth south of Cologne.

The advantage of shipping by air, is that you may travel in the same plane and almost get your bike the day you arrive if you want that. Bob, I had my Wing in Spain serveral times. This is similar like biking in the US. But no plans this year, besides the fact that November is to late for crossing the alps between France and Spain. Sorry.
