Hi all, why is it that every boss Hoss trike on YouTube sounds awesome but mine is very quiet unless stood right behind it. Ive got 2.5” exhausts with cherry bomb end cans which are prototype much straight through. Any links to an exhaust that barks would be appreciated
Thanks

Thanks for the reply . I tried that , I took the cherry bombs off. It wasn’t much better. I think it because the pipes are possibly too big and long ? The original cherry bombs are almost straight through. What is the exhaust size of a bike by the way ?

I imagine mine are fairly standard "straight-through" slash cut and measure 2.5" [64 mm] O/D.

The bikes are always louder with exactly the same motor...
I had two 2006 Bigblock bikes, one with short straight pipes and one with long. The short were way more obnoxious. Nature of the beast

Re: Trike exhaust
Cheers Barry, that’s what I thought. The exhausts are just too long. Think I’ll try shortening them as an engine change to a big block is a bit extreme just to make it louder!!!!CanuckHoss wrote:The bikes are always louder with exactly the same motor...

Just have a short piece made so that it comes out in front of the tire.knockdolian wrote:Cheers Barry, that’s what I thought. The exhausts are just too long. Re: Trike exhaust
Sorry to tell you but Barry is absolutely spot on! If you want a LOUD and Aggressive sound on your trike, a big block is the ONLY option you have.knockdolian wrote:Hi all, why is it that every boss Hoss trike on YouTube sounds awesome but mine is very quiet unless stood right behind it.
