Strange noise ?

Post by knockdolian »

I don't know if this will make sense to anyone but when I pull away or turn in to a junction I get a strange sound like a buzz. At first I thaught it was wheel spin. That's sort of what it sounds like but it will happen even with a small amount of throttle. Definitely from rear axle area. It's not the body rubbing on the tyre. Any ideas ? Thanks

If you have a true posi rear end or a locker,,you will spin the inner tire when turning no matter how little throttle you use..you might also notice a binding feeling when doing so..

If its a limited slip diff you should change the oil in it.
Make sure you use positrac oil, it has a special additive in it so it runs quiet. I had a diff that made noise when I turned, changed oil problem solved.
