LS3 Engine Specs

Post by V8Bikers »

The specs state 430hp but BH advertises 445hp. Wonder if the difference comes from Chevy dynoing the engine with factory manifolds and exhaust?

More than likely. Choking the exhaust kills performance!
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...

I've often wondered the same; I do believe that GM is very conservative with their dyno numbers and don't try to push the edge with ridiculous claims, open headers will also provide a HP boost.

Marv claims some great HP gains from an improved air cleaner. And from watching his black LS3 bike I tend
to believe him.

One of my customers and a friend of Grand Canard designed a new snorkel system for the LS motors which was full opening all the way thru rather than the dented / partially obstructed stock one. He had it fabricated and then lowered the rad for fitment. Pictures were posted on the other site a year or so ago. very nice job of it for sure.
