Blown battery

Post by Swiss V8 »

Hi all together,

I was on a nice ride on Saturday through the Swiss alps. 8-)

After lunch I turned the ignition, everthing OK.
Then I hit the start button and all you heared was a big bang
My battery exploded :!:

After 2h waiting in the cold and sometimes snowy weather the rescue arrived and put a booster battery as a replacement in the Boss Hoss.

Finally we had 3h delay, but I was able to return home on the Boss Hoss.

Now my question:
What type of battery are you using on a SB two weeler?

It's now 11:30 and I'm packing to leave town for Pullman City. 8h to ride...

The new Odyssey battery sits in place and is ready to rock

Martin,

I see you still have the old fuse box. I would install the new Bussman as soon as possible. I had a major failure on my original one and lost the waterpump temporarily. It's a much better system than the original.

I brought the new one with me from the Miami trip. I just had no time to install it...

Martin, assuming you installed it, just checking to see if you have had good luck with the Bussman?
