Have no idea how true this is but I was told this weekend that the winters tranny is $9000. Might have missed it but haven't seen any price mentioned on here.

That would surprise the hell out of me...at that price it would make it a huge option for most people if their Nesco shits the bed...

Pretty sure it is closer to $12,000 or $12,500.
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...

Paul,

Yep..from the Winters Transmission thread

QUOTE" Bike prices are unchanged for 2017 but lots of mechanical, design, and cosmetic upgrades / changes;
SS or Standard w/ Nesco remains $55.9k
SS or Standard w/ optional Winters $59.9k" END QUOTE

So the new tranny is $4,000 more than a Nesco to buy I assume and I heard the Nesco was in the $7,500 tom $8,000

So a Winters tranny is around the $12,000 mark

I stand to be corrected...PLEASE DO

That would be a very hard $12,000 pill to swallow, especially since my frame would have to be redesigned to handle it.

I just wish I could get my Hub City to stay together as well as Elvis' ... he is putting at least 2x the power through his, and I'm sure he has thousands of miles more than me.

No planetary gear replacement will save a bunch but they usually need replacing.

Market intelligence = if it was $9k I'd order as soon as my Nesco shit the bed - AND pay the import taxes and duty.

We will continue guessing for a couple more weeks. i called the factory and they do not have any left in stock BUT are expecting them within the next couple weeks.
I will call back before Biketoberfest and hopefully be able to post an actual true hard number so we can stop guessing :)
