That sucks! Heal fast while enjoying some good pain meds.

I'm stopping at the hospital tomorrow morning and I'll give an update.

He was at BIR Brainerd International Raceway doing time trials with what he calls the worlds fastest bagger. From what I was told he had a high speed wobble and the bike tossed him. He was flown from Brainerd to Minneapolis last night to North Memorial Hospital. In typical Marv fashion he's asking the nurses when he can get back on his two remaining bikes. LOL

Damn, going down at high speed like that he is lucky to be intact and that most everything stayed on the inside.
You’re a tough bastard Marv, good luck on the recovery.

Marv is a lovable, double-tough cat, but he isn’t getting any younger and this wasn’t his first serious crash on a drag strip either; but Marv will be back, speed is in his blood, he can’t quit, his bikes and speed freak friends are some of his biggest passions, Marv will be back!

Saw Marv this morning and for a 78 year old who got thrown from a bike at high speed...it's amazing that he's ready to get up and move around and in great spirits. All I could think of while I was there is this guy has Evil Knievel blood in him.

He does has 6 broken ribs, a broken toe and the tip of his thumb is also broken. His knees are very swollen and road rashed. Plenty of other lacerations, abrasions and contusions. It's a miracle he's alive!!!

I did print off a copy of the responses here for him and he was appreciative for all the well wishes. If I get any further updates I'll post them here.

I hope your recovery goes well Marv. Our prayers are with you.

Sucks to hear this but glad he is up and about and in good spirits. The saying: (you can’t keep a good man down) certainly applies to Marv!

Marv is out of the ICU and in his own room. Good progress so far!!

Marv is now home and doing well. I bet he's trying to figure out how to get out of the house on two wheels before his wife knows he gone. LOL

Dave, did Marv's bagger bike have a faring? If yes, was it the new Reckless fiberglass faring or the old plastic one that Boss Hoss has sold for years?

What exactly is Marv's take on the cause of the high speed wobble?
