Many of us met Ben at the La Crosse gathering
a number of years ago. He had many artist's
renderings of his soon-to-be-produced
Sabertooth motorcycles.
We thought he had an interesting idea about the
4-speed trannies.
Well, he never went into production, that we know of.
We hope he will still go into production........

There has been several builders of V8 bikes. I checked out the Sabertooth's at Daytona Bike Week back in 2009. The Ford 302 engine sounded awesome and sitting on it felt very comfortable. (they weren't offering test rides like Boss Hoss does) I just didn't like the looks of the long swing axle, but that's just my opinion. There was much talk about their transmission, but it seems that they didn't build too many bikes.

Ben liked to refer to it as their proprietary Dynaclaw transmission. It was, in fact, the same Ranger III two speed that I have in my bike. The 4 speed/5 speed was a pipe dream and never progressed past a few CAD drawings and empty promises.
I don't get all that length either. You can see, on my bike, the overall length has barely changed from a stock BH. I believe I am just a smidge over 1 inch of the original wheelbase
