V8-Choppers-The Visit..

Post by Geezer »

Quick and short post on viewing these bikes in person at
Dave Ward's shop today.

Elliott.........your safe .......haha, I give a big thumbs
up to the look, quality, and fit and finish of these bikes.

I was impressed.

Pictures of these bike do not do them justice, they are
better in person!!! Got to look a three trikes and about
four or five choppers. Dave fired up all the engine combo's,
and offered us rides.....However it was about 30 degrees out and we declined.......yea, I am a puss.......

Dave is going to race his 500hp Dart motor trike in Fla at
the strip during Daytona. Should be interesting

I would like to thank Dave and his crew for giving us the
better part of the day putting up with a million questions.

I don't think this company will have any problem with future
sucess. The crew attending Stan's and Dave's dinner at
the track at Daytona, are in for a treat.

I took many pictures and will get them to WildMan for
posting as soon as possible. Gotta get momma the
photo nut in gear, and on my puter.

Well, I've got to tell you...I'm deeply disappointed. Where the heck is the picture of the photographer!?

Glad you got to see 'em Geez. Stan has done a great job with these bikes and David has a killer arsenal. How many folks can lay claim to two beautiful V8 trikes, two beautiful V8 bikes...all under the same roof of their shop?!

I wish you had been able to brave the cold knowing how exemplary these bikes ride versus what most are used to. The feel of the chopper is quite a bit different, and very satisfying compared to the Boss. That's only to say that I enjoy the more nimble feel, lower seating position, lighter weight, and a true chopper feel. I'm sure there are others who prefer more of a heavy, cruiser feel than the chopper offers. The bottom line is they are quite different. I also suspect without having ridden it yet, that putting a TRUE 500 horses in a bike that fully weighs 300+ lbs less than the bigblock Boss will add up to stellar performance. Especially considering how and when the bike makes hp with the big DART motor. Stan and David tell me the new standard motor, a 360 hp DART pulls much stronger than a ZZ4.

I talked to David about the track time he has planned and I expect to hear some times that will enable them to enjoy bragging rights hands down in the trike world. I personally believe the V8Chopper trike, both 360 and 500 hp variety to be significantly faster than the Boss trikes. With those DART motors, the suspension setup and Powerglide tranny, it's a foregone conclusion.
