2017 Boss Hoss 502 Big Block

Post by Grand Canard »

Check the new 2017 Boss Hoss 502 Big Block for sale at D-Burg BH dealership that they just received during Boss Hoss National Rally in Paris.
This is the first Boss Hoss Big Block built in 10 years; compliments to V8 Performance!
V8 Performance took a standard EFI 445 bike and modified the frame to accept a big block, plenty of room remaining to fit a tall deck 632 too!
This one sports a Kewl Metal front, Winter’s transmission, top of the line Holley XP mechanical secondary black carburetor and MSD low profile Pro billet crab style distributor, 7 quart Moroso racing oil pan, Dakota Digital dash, plus really cool paint from Big D’s Customs. Check the retro style seat / top panel and suede leather seat.
If interested give Mark Sieber a shout 1-731-676-2960

I Called on the Big Block yesterday, it is not sold yet. I was kinda shocked at the price. I figured 60-65 thousand. The price came in at $76,100.00 I hope they can sell them for that but I think if they want to get back into the business, they are going to have to figure a way to get the price down to about mid Fifty's. I now ride a 09 LS3 with 55K on, it and would love to up grade. But not at those prices.

I was under the understanding that new bikes were starting at $60,000 or so

Taking into account a new LS3 motor cost quite a bit more than the 502 I was assuming that 502 bike to be in the $60 range also...not sure what got it to the mid $70s

I can tell you first hand that this is one SWEET looking bike! Sounds great too. Although it was on display in Paris, I did not see anyone other than BH Employees ride it.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't chrome plating more expensive than powder coating?

The 2017 Big Block bikes from V8 Performance are going to be exclusive for the few that can afford them; want a 1000HP all aluminum 632, probably tack-on another $20k or more. The cost of doing business, cost of labor, insurance, engines, transmissions, font-ends, brakes, etc only goes one direction and that's up, especially if you want quality.

Boss Hoss only manufactures LS3 445 EFI bikes and trikes with MSRP of $59k for Trikes or Bikes w/ Winters transmission; bikes are $55k w/ Nesco.

A new Boss Hoss with a 445 LS ENGINE at sixty grand is in the game with other V8 bikes but I don't think the sixty grand one has the Winters transmission. In any case there will never be many sixty or seventy thousand dollar motorcycles sold. If you own one yours will be rare. I been riding mine for eight years and have only seen a couple of other Boss Hoss bikes on the road in that time, I've never seen another V8 Chopper. Two of my friends in our club own them so I see theirs often but not strangers. I'm not counting events like Sturgis or Daytona either. I'm talking about just riding my bike for the last 31000 miles. I live in the west, I realize there are more back east. I think all and all its a tough business to manufacture V8 bikes at and stay in business in todays world. There are many other great bikes for less than half the price, some even less than a third to compete with. In any case I love both my V8 bikes and would love to have the latest Boss Hoss bike with an LS engine and a Winters trans, who wouldn't?

You nailed it perfectly; the $59k does come w/ a Winters transmission, if a customer insisted on having a Nesco then the MSRP drops to $55k. (I edited my post to reflect that)

Sixty grand for an 445 LS powered bike with an indestructible trans is much better than any past Boss Hoss offerings in my opinion. If a customer is looking for a cruising V8 that he can ride pretty much forever I would say go for it. If I was a little richer I would buy one. I like to ride mine on long rides packing my wife, the new ones are better than the one I have and I think would last forever. These V8 bikes in my opinion will not be on the market forever. If Clinton becomes president the EPA will become even worse and the V8 could easily be banned. If that were to happen our bikes could just be a footnote in history. The price of V8 bikes would go up but if you couldn't buy a new one what good would that do. Trikes will probably be made forever as much can be added to meet new regulations but bikes might just become obsolete. Vote for Trump, keep our V8 bikes!!!

If you are going to vote for Gary Johnson don't waste money on the gasoline it takes to get to the polls, just stay home and polish your V8.

A Vote for ANYBODY other than Trump is a vote for Killary. He isn't my first choice but I would rather see a pile of Dog Shit in the White House rather than that Traitorous Self-Serving Lying Murderous Bitch ... Just my .02

All Aluminum is no problem, the build time will be much longer and cost will be much higher as the engine will be custom built by a speed shop VS. GM Performance mass production assembly line.

Vote Trump! Trump will stop the EPA from creating new regulations / laws which is the SOLE responsibility of Congress to create; I also believe that Trump will cancel / rescind most of Obama's executive orders which number in the hundreds and Trump will also do the same with the EPA, etc etc. Hopefully he will clean house and fire top level management in those and many other departments; most are merely a bunch of Demo-Commie appointed activists.
