Bonehead move.

So I finished using the screwdriver and was too lazy to walk all the way to the tool box. It temporarily went into my back pocket. You guessed it, I decided to sit on the scoot. Now my stock seat has a rip in it. Local upholstery shops want over a hundred bucks to repair it. I have to decide whether to repair it or use that money towards the upgraded seat that has the backrest. On the upgraded seat, does the backrest attach to the frame or the seat pan? Can the backrest be removed? Do they make an alarm that sounds when my ass approaches it with a sharp object in the back pocket? Thanks.

TXscooterguy, OUCH for sure and so easy to forget ! I am sorry to hear that and again sorry that I can not answer you new seat questions. But I would love to see a pic of your new one, if you go that route. Craig

The backrest on my '09 slides into a slot in the seatpan and not the frame and just slides out when not wanted.

Can anyone tell me the price for the upgraded seat with back rest for a 2015 trike? It wasn't listed as an option on the website. Thanks.

I used 3M's repair kit. I can live with the results.

That's a fine job / result if I may say so. I'm going to remember that solution for when I do the same.
