Not sure when...today or yesterday...lots of comments on the other Forum and Facebook.

Ric and I touched base a month ago and I knew there were serious things happening. I texted him Tuesday with no reply and now I know why.

Suffering is over...Rest in peace Ric my friend...you will indeed be missed.

Wow, really sorry to hear this. I never actually met Ric in person (close but didn't happen) but have had conversations with him via PM's. He seemed to be a straight shooter and all around good guy, he was a rider. My deepest condolences to his family and friends, he will be missed.

Ric would call me just to order a part or ask what I thought about a particular Boss Hoss question and we would chat for 30 or 40 minutes. Those conversations will be missed.

Contact with him a month ago he was in the hospital and told he lost 80 lbs or more in the past 8 months. Could not eat a thing without agony. I was really hoping and praying he would have been able to overcome that but did not.

A sad day for us Canadian Boss Hoss friends, International Boss Hoss friends and his family.

Damn, did not know that Ric was in such bad shape lately. What a great loss to the V8 community. So regretful to not have met him or even talk. Ric seemed like one of those guys who did not judge and always had a kind word for someone. Always enjoyed the changes he made to his bike and the passion he had for riding and V8's in general. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. RIP brother.

Too bad. His cartoons were silly, but I read them all. Most made me smile a little.
Godspeed Ric

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS. I NEVER REMEMBER HIM SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT ANYBODY. HE WAS IN MY OPINION A GENUINE GOOD GUY. I DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS GOING THRU THIS AGAIN, AT LEAST HIS SUFFERING IS OVER, HE NEVER COMPLAINED.

Yeah I'll miss him too. I'll also miss his temperature thing on his posts cos I used to like seeing how ridiculously cold it was up his way in the middle of winter.

Ric told me a a couple years ago that if things progressed to this point he would like me to sell his 502 for him. I really hope that one of his sons...I believe there are 2...will take the bike and ride on as Ric would have done...or one of his close friends grabs the bike as it deserves to be close to home.

Sonny...I can add Ric's temp to mine and then we can always compare and be reminded of Ric...it was definitely colder where he was than the 3 hours south that we are...we get a lot of melting weather during the winter here due to the mountains being close.

Yes as I'm always looking at your temps also and have noticed that they are not quite as cold.

Barry, Do you know of an address we could send condolence cards to Rics family. To show just how many friends he had from all over the world?

Awesome idea Randy...There is a Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday the 13th of Sept. which I hope to attend. I Googled the address of it and found the full address. I would mail it to:

The Ric Mossip Family
C/o 22 Oreston Close
Red Deer, Alberta Canada
T4N 5A2

I've been on vacation and just read this , man I'm so saddened. I'm a BH newbie but he was always there to help me, he was such a great guy and he was part of my V8 life. I of course never met him but felt he was a friend. Words fail me. Ric you'll be missed and I guess you never knew how many people had great respect for you.
Barry, thanks for the address. Does anyone have an email for the family?

Home from Ric's Memorial. It was held in his brother's backyard and we lucked out on the weather considering the past 5 days. Only about 50 or 55 or so F.

Bryan Ward and I rode up from here..about 70 miles and Mark Fenske and his son Ryan rode from North of us for 45 miles. We had 4 V8 rides present which was really nice to see...the family liked it too as they had mostly only seen Ric's 502.

It was a very good memorial and well attended which shows the kind of person Ric was...which we pretty much already knew.

I believe Ric has latched onto some kind of ride up there and is looking down at us or is with us as we ride...take care my friend.

I'll carry on the "Keep the magic alive" sentiment over here in England for as long as I can as a sign of respect for Ric. I'm honoured to have communicated with him when he was here.

Ric's friend Wayne delivered the bike to me for it to sell today...deal in the works and hopefully done next Saturday.

Looking at it before I left the shop tonite brought a tear to my eye..

This picture was shown to me today and I thought it would be a good closure picture for us V8 brothers. That is one of Ric's buddies giving freedom to Ric's ashes on the same hill that a few years ago Ric spread his brother Terry's ashes from his 502 bike.

RIP
