Frank Kirby..AKA Kirby Coupe passed away this morning at 5am

I have lost a very good friend today. Frank Kirby from Surrey , B.C. I met Frank and Zahia and a few of their friends in Sturgis 2000 at a gas station in Hill City. I was there with a Canadian made V8 called the Big Brute V8 Supercycle. They ran up to me at the gas pump and were full of questions about the V8 as it was one of a very few. We developed a friendship pretty much right there. Eventually 7 or so years ago I think Frank got the V8 bug big time and I helped him buy his dream Boss Hoss V8 '32 Coupe trike from the USA. Frank my friend, you are one cool cat and I am honoured to call you my friend. Rest in Peace.

Only knew Frank by phone. He was looking for
info on doing a disc brake conversion on his trike.
Seemed like a fine guy. Prayers go out to his

Sitting here now on pins and needles as there was an accident with a sidecar rig and SUV just 5 miles out of town this afternoon and out of province plates. Motorcyclist is dead.

My friend Rob was in Saturday and that is exactly his rig and I am praying it is not him by some grace of God. Please help me pray. Thank you

An update since Monday...later that after noon I found out it was indeed my friend of 25 years, Rob Billington who was killed.

I learned on Friday from another good friend who came into the shop that it was a texting 17 year old that lost control of an SUV and ran into Rob.

He knows because two young ladies who work for him were following the SUV and saw the head go down, correct the vehicle, go down again and correct and the third time with passenger wheels foo the pavement he overcorrected to get back on and into the bike he went. Those ladies are overcome with grief as they were first responders to Rob and tried CPR but he was gone and they are MAD as hell that the driver was texting and senslessly caused death and grief to so many people.

RIP Rob.
