Ricky, since you are still building, you may want to consider what I did with my tank

Carl
I am using QD pins for my tank, seat, and radiator side panels; hope they hold my shit in place! I'll find-out soon enough.
That fuel tank removal just did my head in; hated it! draining the tank, that damn cross-over hose really pissed me off; all gone now, now have QD pins and QD hoses.

It's not a quick as the video. I do have to remove the left side panel and disconnect the fuel line. Still, tank removal takes about a minute or two. I ran the cross over line down the sides of the tank and around the distributor. I had the QD fittings on the cross over line, but it was almost impossible for me to get my pud pullers in there to disconnect it. After I added the vacuum tank for my clutch booster it became completely impossible.

1904 installed

Post by CanuckHoss »

The 1904 carb I received from Petite Moose last week was installed today.

Lee took it home first and checked it all over...rejetted also. It is a Carby Mike Stage ll...pretty clean carb so not a lot had to be done.

Man oh man these carbs are tight in a BB frame...

it is running other than a minor idle mixture Lee want to adjust. Also will test cold start a couple days before we put the tank on and I dont need the tank for a 10 minute blast down the highway. To me and a friend of mine who was there...we think there was actually a difference in how crisp the 502 sounds...might be just us I don't know. I do know it was running rich at idle and maybe even down the road with the Holley.

Not sure when the roads will be good for a ride but hopefully they will clear enough. I am fairly close to a highway...about 6 to 7 blocks.

PS...Dennis...your $5 is in the mail..   .

For sure Moose....More power is needed to twist the throttle now as the spring in this Edelbrock is quite a bit stronger than the Holley had..I am not sure I like it but also not sure what I can change to fix it.

Mike at Summit added that as a safety. The spring that was in it was super light. I got used to it after a day or so. You might contact him to see what he did. i thought it was a little too strong and may eventually pull the plastic out of the throttle from the stress. Crap ... down to $3.00 now??

I like super light...lol...most likely have to pull the carb to change the spring...see how it performs first and foremost.

I also like $3.00 lol
