"At the height of riding season, Harley-Davidson has ordered up a big recall of near-new motorcycles

Harley is recalling 66,421 Touring and CVO Touring motorcycles from the 2014 model year. It warns that the front wheels can lock up without warning. The recall applies to bikes with anti-lock brakes made between July 1, 2013 and May 7."

Yep, 4 riders down, 1 injured - compensation time. But reputation cost is?....

Just seen on the news that it's possible for the front brake line to get pinched between the fuel tank and the frame..causing the possibility of front wheel lock up...Hope Harley doesn't get hurt too bad..I still like my Harleys But not a fan (yet) of the new Rushmore style.

Harley with serious issue but not alone ... BMW's new 2014 R1200RT has a very big problem with the rear suspension on the ESA (electronic suspension adjustment) units. All owners were warned NOT TO RIDE THE BIKE UNTIL SERVICED ... I guess the warning letter takes liability off the company???

Either way would suck making a payment on a motorcycle (or anything for that matter) that can not be used!

In true HD fashion, the "fix" is installing two hose clamps on the line so it doesn't move near the problematic "pinch" zones.
This wasn't new news to them. They knew the problem existed and in May of '13 installed 1 clamp to "fix" the problem. a dozen wrecks later and they figured out their one clamp .25 solution wasn't good enough so they doubled it ... Heaven forbid you actually eliminate the issue by using HARD brake lines! But then again, that would cost more than .50
Who says building a border wall won't work?!? The Chinese built one over 2000 years ago and they STILL don't have any Mexicans ...
