Re: New Winters Transmission

Gladiator, I am on my 3rd Nesco transmission. Es ist meine dritte getriebe aus Nesco. 70,000 miles on this transmission. Hundert+ kilometers mit diese getriebe. Very good at this time. Sehr gut heute. (Mein Deutsch ist nicht sehr gut. Es tut mir leid.) Auf Englisch--- My German is not the best. Sor...

Re: New Winters Transmission

It is not a Question of Efficiency or putting more power on the rear wheel. The Problem is the second gear. In the first gear you could take part on any race, but you must not accellerate fast in the second gear and also changing the gear into second driving more than 90 mph is only for some times....

Re: New Winters Transmission

I've often wondered what the ratio is between SB's vrs BB's as far as damaged Nesco's would be . Seem like the more power being forced thru Nesco would naturally result in more wear and tear .

Questions

I've owned my 2000 Boss Hoss for 18 years and I remember that not only myself but there were dozens of us that were constantly asking tech questions and giving advise to help each other sort out any problems when we could . I know the newer bikes have fewer problems but I sure miss those days when w...

Re: Avon versus Metzeler 300 Rear Tire

I have been running Metzler 280 -18 on my SB and usually get about 4000 miles out of them . I am now running a 260 -18 Metzler and I think it is wearing a little better but I still think it will need to be replaced at about 4000 . I've probably got about 10,000 miles on my front metzler and it stil...

Re: ARNOTT AIR SHOCKS

Jack, I have seen your bike and it is one of the nicest Boss Hoss bikes I have ever seen. Its mechanically outstanding. Just a simple, clean, sanitary, well sorted bike. Pride of ownership shows. Have fun. I'll second that! Jack's scooter is incredible, anyone seeing it for the first time will quic...

I never rode a bike with beach bars but it appears to me that steer the bike into turns as opposed to leaning . They look to me almost like half a steering wheel .

Re: Lower Air Dam

It is shitty that Marv is out of the accessory business as he did a great job. I was thinking I wanted one of these for my SB I have here too..damn I think it would be relatively simple to modify a stock air dam to run lights in the face of a air dam . Of course it would require cutting holes , mou...

I thought MaRV sells one where the lights mount in the front face of the air dam instead of on each end like most ?

I'd say you definitely better learn to do your own maintenance! For sure. I've got the oil/filter part figured out. I've also replaced the spark plugs. Next step is to tackle the transmission fluid. I've purchased an engine hoist to lift the bike up high enough so I can get under it. I won't be doi...

Hi all, why is it that every boss Hoss trike on YouTube sounds awesome but mine is very quiet unless stood right behind it. I tried a Holley 650 on my SB back a few years ago and I tried everything to get rid of a hesitation including buying a box of jets to change but just couldn't get rid of the hesitation . Then I had carb Mike do his magic on my 750 Edelbrock and honestly the engine felt like it gained 50 hp . I don'...

I agree , aside from the old gray beard bikers left most new bikers nowadays can't compare and I don't think they want to . They go out and buy a new Road glide and go to the bike nights with the rest of the RUBS wearing their new chaps and do rags and pretend their bikers . My generation we had som...
