Ok ,,You guys win! I had talked to a local bike shop about ordering a front tire for the boss hoss...But after this thread on wheel bearings I changed my mind and taking the rim and tire to mountain boss hoss to have front tire mounted and balanced and to also check wheel bearings..And called local ...

Good to see Big Blocks are an option..Didn't think that was possible... 1,000 horsepower sounds about right! But still in love with my 502 at the moment..think I'll keep it..Might like a trans upgrade though..

I would guess that since the front piston is lighter in color, And the thread is on steam engines. I would guess a head gasket or worse was letting water into cylinder?

Jack, I can understand the money tree thing..But, If you need a new rear rotor, You might consider the new rear brake upgrade from Boss Hoss..Yes, I know it will cost. But the additional braking power would be worth the expense...I'm hoping to do mine next winter..Just an idea.

What a great time Dawn and I had at Johnstown and Mountains open house!! After the Monsoon Friday, It turned into a beautiful weekend. As usual Johnstown was rockin' and Tom hosted folks at the shop..We were able to attend the Saturday dinner at the Laurel mountain Inn.Food and the company were top ...

from what I've heard it will fit in our frames with no modifications..However it looks like there is more wiring involved...Might just be more visible wiring on the ones I saw..

After changing the parts, All it's done in Ohio is rain a lot..Went to Ohio bike week both weekends and had rain on both so I rode the Harley..Just found out I'm scheduled to work the Saturday of Mountains open house..And I'm not so sure I'm going to Lacrosse either...

Went to napa and bought a new ignition switch, and solenoid..Changed them both and the bike still runs..That's good for me! :dunno: Just ride it and see what happens..While at Napa I asked about the inline fuel pump they offer ,,I think that is what Mountain installed on my bike a while ago..Anyone ...

Ignition switch?

Stopped for gas today. Shut motor off with handlebar switch, turned ignition switch off and nothing happened which means lights, fan fuel pump, everything was still on! :o ..Rode it home and disconnected battery to get everything to stop...few hours later hooked battery back up and it seems ignition...

I know Jack custom made a lever that flips to hold front brake on..I think he got one from a 4 wheel atv and fabrication mounts for it..Real nice and easy set up..But he does everything nice..
