Re: Forking Seal Leak

Darryl, I don't know if you "have" to go through the factory, but I took it back to the factory to get it fixed. The factory was covered up at the time and Geno chose to send it back to the manufacturer. I assume that we have that option. I will find out for you. Geno said that the labor w...

Re: Forking Seal Leak

Darryl.

I had Boss Hoss send both my fork legs back to the manufacturer. They rebuilt both legs, new bushings, reamed them and installed new seals for $170 plus shipping. The Boss Hoss factory said that they could not do it that cheap. For that price, I would not touch them myself.

Re: Blown battery

Martin,

I see you still have the old fuse box. I would install the new Bussman as soon as possible. I had a major failure on my original one and lost the waterpump temporarily. It's a much better system than the original.

Trailer Camera

Wildman, Thanks for showing me your trailer camera at Miami. I now am the proud owner of the same model. VRBCS300W $80 at WalMart. Looks like it will save me a few stops to inspect now. I found that the thing will work almost 25' away from the trailer! That's good range. I especially like the wirele...

Re: Kickstand Warning!!!

Mine was going on 9 years old. Well worn. Bike almost dumped when I got off with the engine running. I put a new SS replacement on from the factory. Wear was not confined to just the tab.

WM, When you get ready to install the "new" alternator bracket, Take a look at this thread from Norm. http://www.mybikeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12266&highlight=alternator+bracket He has a link to his slideshow of the installation! http://s411.photobucket.com/albums/pp191/Norm...

He was happy to get the bike. He said he would see everyone in Daytona. I invited him to both websites and told him everyone would be looking for him. Billy was going to invite him to some bike stuff also. Nice guy.

Re: Dunlop 245/50 ZR 15 for Wildman

WM,

I wish I had bought more when I purchased. I have one new Dunlop mounted on my spare rear rim and one new Falken on the bike, with a spare Falken sitting in the shop floor. I wish I had one more Dunlop, that should last me until I go to a trike (hopefully V8 chopper).
