Rob, in order for tightening the springs to make the shocks longer it would have to mean the shocks were not already fully extended with the current preload. So if in fact less preload means the weight of the bike would compress the shocks slightly, but at that same time you could lift the frame of ...

I have no problem with that it doesn't affect my bike at all if you run excessively thick fluid in Australia. I would expect though that areas with tight clearances will get poor lubrication and it will take longer for fluid to apply and release clutches.

Joe, if you are referring to the redesigned output shaft bearing location that is a fact we saw that in place at the last national rally. Other than that I do not know of any changes.

Yes, I have seen problems which I can usually trace to a system that has had longterm leaks and not been properly maintained. I would not argue with anyone that chooses not to use dexcool, but personally all vehicles I own that came with dexcool have it in them now including my bike.
