Re: Import a Boss Hoss back to the USA

I just found out today, officially from a Customs Broker that there is NO WAY to ever Import a Boss Hoss bike or trike back to the USA once it has been exported. That is too bad because we had Mark's kickass 2006 SB sold to a friend of Gila's in the USA... Is that simply because it is a BH, or beca...

Re: Need a BH 2 speed tranny

It's at a friends place. He wanted to get it repaired and geting training on repairing it at the same time. But BH Cologne is not open for stuff like that... I was under the impression that Germany BH performed all tranny repairs for Europe, that they were factory trained and authorized to repair, ...

Re: Need a BH 2 speed tranny

Bill is right, I have a disassembled model A tranny. The point is, it's not at my place. And as I said, it's a model A, therefore not my first joice to copy from... If you still are interested, it did cost me 1000$ to ship it to Switzerland, not counting the costs for the box. Thanks, but model A n...

Need a BH 2 speed tranny

Does anyone have a Boss Hoss bike 2 speed transmission lying around that I can borrow for one month or purchase? Doesn't matter if it is completely fucked, disassembled in a box, or in perfect condition. If it is a fucked tranny loaner, I will return it to you repaired assuming that it is repairable...

Re: Sold??

I heard that the potential buyers were out of Missouri, that is from a friend of mine that spoke to Monty last week. Whomever ends-up buying it, I think it would be an excellent idea if the new owner would partner-up with the Germans, Andy, etc for the purpose of getting their input and assistance o...

Re: Electric water pump problem

Im not sure if Im being overly observant or if theres a problem. I noticed when I turn the ignition on the electric water pump doesn't sound the same. It almost sounds likes its "laboring" before it gets up to speed. We went for a ride anyway. I was checking the water temp every few minue...

Re: New torque converter for Berzerker

Man..with that HP why do you want a higher stall from stock?? A 502 with a stock what..1800 stall will blow rubber all over the road almost anytime and you have gobs more HP.... Just wondering.... Barry My 470 engine is designed to deliver on the high-end, the power and and torque is upstairs; comb...

Re: New torque converter for Berzerker

I just installed a new torque converter from Boss Hoss Concepts in my 04 small block. Tim Delbac there is doing all of the trans work from Boss Hoss. He has them made by TCI to his specs and it is a 3100 to 3200 stall. Tim told me it is more efficient and runs cooler than a nesco #7. I can now easi...

New torque converter for Berzerker

I will be having a custom torque converter built, designed special for Berzerker with a higher stall speed, but I’m concerned about over-heating tranny fluid, what’s the max stall? My question goes to you cats sporting non-factory or factory #7 torque converters, etc: • What is your manufacturer lis...

Re: Thrashing the new Tranny for all its worth

I would spend big money on a fool proof transmission in the blink of an eye. With that you have the perfect bike. Nothing to worry or care about. The rest of a Boss is easy to maintain and spare parts are not a problem. So would I; would buy it in a New Minute, though nothing is fool-proof to inclu...

Re: LS 470 for Berzerker

I got my rear wheel alignment sorted, tracking straight now; turns-out was just a case of me being a wanker, wasn't nothing wrong with my wheel / hub, etc. everything already machined on center. I WAS adjusting the wheel focused on keeping the belt centered on the rear pulley, what I had to do to co...

Re: Boss Hoss Coolant Fan

Best way I have found to use the Go-Pro is with the Smartphone app. and the camera in Bluetooth mode. Mount the phone on the bars and you can tell the camera what to do and when without trying to remember what button does what and in which order. One of my riding buds has one of these GoPro remotes...

Sorted! Replaced thermostat, runs cooler now, 200 degrees; it'll run cooler once this summer heat passes, It's bloody HOT!! 750-800HP with a 20" wide double pass radiator has its limitations I suppose. That fucking bike is scary FAST!! I'm unintentionally smoking the my drag radial at speeds we...

Re: Boss Hoss Coolant Fan

I always thought that a curved blade was more efficient than a straight due to increased surface area, but I'm not sure. The Derale fan doesn't fit, too thick. I removed and tested my factory Spal fan and it is fine, blows hard. A little bit of investigative work is pointing to a faulty 165 degree t...

Re: Boss Hoss Coolant Fan

I ordered the Derale fan because it is deeper and has a 22 amp 2 speed motor; hopefully it will solve my problem. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/der-18214 The Zirgo claims a higher CFM, but they have a small motor and also have too many bad reviews. I tried to make it a puller fan but couldn't be...

Does anyone know the specs on the radiator fan, or better yet the manufacturer and part number? Re: Trans Oil and filter change

I'd change mine if the pan was off , just because it was off . I'd make sure the replacement filter was a quality one and wouldn't expect trouble unless it didn't fit right. I'm confused; all 3 BH's bikes that I own / owned have a stainless mesh filter inside the tranny that gets cleaned every time...
