Re: Aussie Boss Hoss Sales going Ballistic!
ELS. I wish I could join you guys for all the fun in Daytona but it just can't happen this year. Regis invited me to stay at his new house and even offered to get me a bike for the week. He is a great guy like the rest of you V8 guys that I've met. I wll miss all of you and definitely join you in Mi...

Re: Aussie Boss Hoss Sales going Ballistic!
V8 bikes are just to radical a departure from what most people perceive as motorcycles. These bikes usually intimidate those that are not familiar with them. Also riders need a bundle of extra income and the mindset to dare to be different before they will step up to the plate and purchase a new V8 ...

Re: Looking For Front Tire Options
Jack, I still like to kick start my chopper when Im around a bunch of other bikes because they look at you like you're performing some sort of an ancient ritual. Then when it starts they look amazed like as if a miracle just happened and I feel like I just won some sort of battle. I'm always gratefu...

Re: Looking For Front Tire Options
Here in Las Vegas we don't have any inspections with one exception. If you build a bike out of different parts you have to show the receipts and have it inspected only the first time it is registered. It then is registered as a reconstructed vehicle. They inspect the bike to make sure it has turn si...

Re: Winter Ride in Tucson
I just got back to Las Vegas from the Tucson ride a few hours ago. What a great time we all had. An extra thanks goes to David Ward for all the work he put in to make sure we all had reservations every night for dinner, a tour each day of something interesting, a route to ride our V8s where you coul...

Hey, I got a new avatar.
Re: Rear tire
I think the nose wheel tire from a B27 will handle good, look good, have a good speed rating and can probably be purchased cheap from a surplus store. Airplane tires are the next step for these bikes as everything has already been said about car and bike tires. Dave

I am a new guy next to you guys and hardly ever saw a V8 bike till l bought one a little over a year ago. I always seen some Boss Hoss bikes when I went to Sturgis but never really checked them out. The trike that is pictured here that was Geezers is the best looking one I ever seen, I can see why E...

Re: Holiday Topic - Car Tire Vs. Bike Tire
Darryl, I also found my bike cornered way better after I installed the air ride. It now corners at least as good as any Harley dresser. I never tried changing the spring rates in my stock shocks but I have heard others say they had the same results you did and they were happy. Dave

I am proud to say I was a personal friend of Bob Hites. We hung out at the same pool hall before he got famous. Years later Bob filled an old time juke box I had with 45s from his personal collection. He never let fame go to his head and I will always remember him as a good guy. Dave

I think I better not install the angle plate. I definitely don't want to deal with a tipped over bike. Dave

Re: Holiday Topic - Car Tire Vs. Bike Tire
I am going to keep running the AVON until I hear of a bike tire that will fit the Boss Hoss and be better. I ride in mountains and freeways. The weight of these bikes makes them want to wash out easier than a lighter bike on twisty roads plus the fact that you can't correct in a turn easily makes me...

Re: Holiday Topic - Carburetor vs. Fuel Injection
The only advantage of a carb over fuel injection is simplicity. Fuel injection requires a computer and more knowledge, skill, and tools than I have to understand it, repair it, or set it up. I believe it will give you more power and better mileage than a carb if it works right, but a carb is all mec...

Re: So What Is The Best Modification You have Done To Your Bike,
My list goes like this on a 2003 SB Arnott air ride, bike rode shitty with stock shocks, now rides great and a little toggle switch adjusts adjusts the pressure to always keep a great ride no matter how the bike is loaded. Carb Mikes stage two rebuild and modifications made a huge difference that yo...

Re: Multiple Fuel Filters?
I rode early british bikes, TRIUMPHS etc. for lots of years and they had AMAL carbs wiht floats that were never worth a shit. You always had to turn off the petcocks whenever you parked to prevent problems. I hated it but it became a habit. Today I still do it out of habit even though my memory suck...
