Re: Hello out there .
Last week was Laughlin, today was a poker run. Next weekend is a club ride and a meeting in LA. Two weeks later is the annual Hells Angels bike and car show in Southern Cal. I will have 3 booths there as usual. Its gonna get pretty hot here in a couple of months but its still beautiful right now. I'...

Re: Big block vs Small block
Guys I'm not qualified to talk about SB vs BB in a bike chassis - but if there is any comparison re. the same combinations in a car then ultimately a big block just has to out perform a small block in every respect - ie. alloy block BB is not significantly heavier than iron block SB. BB is perfectl...

Re: Squealing back brakes, Again
I think you can spray stuff on them, replace them, redesign them, but in the end the squeal returns. Some times they don't make noise for years, sometimes right away. The reason they sell stuff to stop the noise is because its so common even on cars. It reminds me of the belt squeal on a Boss Hoss b...

Re: New transmission??
I don't see the new tranny as much better than the NESCO. It still has the same design flaws the NESCO has and will be just as expensive. It will be made better and with better materials but NESCO has come a long way with their manufacturing process, its the design and price that really needs changi...

Re: Big block virsis Small block
I think a stock BB will beat a stock SB without any problem if they both have a skilled rider. If the SB isn't stock then all bets are off. I also agree with Randy that the BB isn't a drag racer but its a torque monster and will burn rubber at will.

Re: MY CHOPPER ALMOST BROKE
coils are supposed to be mounted in a vertical position not on its side as in the Choppers, thusly the reason for so many coil failures in the trikes. Just fab yourself a mount that will allow you to mount the coil in an upright position behind the left side cover. Buck Buck, coils have been mounte...

MY CHOPPER ALMOST BROKE
I just take it for granted that my V8 CHOPPER doesn't ever break. It ALWAYS starts instantly hot or cold. A few nights ago I was at a nightclub here in VEGAS on the bike with some of my buddies from Los Angeles. It was a beautiful night about 75 degrees, perfect for riding. When I went to leave the ...

Re: 2nd gear dos and don'ts
I used to be more worried than I am today about the trans. Mine has over 25000 trouble free miles on it. I also shift at 50 or more into OD. I NEVER hammer it in OD. I ALWAYS gently roll it on when its in OD, no matter what speed its at when I start to increase speed. The biggest thing I attribute t...

Re: Handgrip - throttle cable attachment failure
I doubt its the spring. Most likely to me is the plastic part the cable end goes into is just a weak part. As plastic ages it becomes brittle, maybe those grips been on the shelf a long time. You could take an old one to a machine shop and have him make an aluminum piece to replace the plastic.

You're right, I don't know why I thought they were on the other site. I've always been impressed with Jeff's workmanship and design abilities. He's one of the best builders I know of and if any of you guys have never seen his work it'll be an eye opener.

Re: A LITTLE TRICK
Great Advice! Will try that once I get my belt to SHUT UP! You will get it if you try long enough. It can be frustrating and you cant go by where the belt rides in the pulley. Mine touches the outside edge yet makes no noise. I've had it not touch either side and make noise. The last time I only ha...

A LITTLE TRICK
Most of us that have Boss Hoss bikes are familiar with the rear belt squeak or squeal. It sometimes takes lots of patience and some luck to get it where it doesn't make any noise. The last time I put a new tire on the back I spent many hours trying different belt tensions and laser aligning the whee...

Carl, Glad you got your fuel problem straightened out..Hope it stays that way. And as Squirm was saying about fuel, I have a small airport near home and buy aviation fuel for use in my dirt bike.. I was told the av gas uses stabilizers as airplanes tend to sit for long periods at times and it preve...

Re: Ride Report From The Fongderosa
Here in Vegas some stations sell 100 octane race gas at the pump. It has no ethanal or alcohol. It smells like gasoline used to smell and it can sit in your tank for years without gumming up. I keep it in my hot rod and my Volkswagon, my TRIUMPH and my Chopper. I started using it in antique motorcyc...

Re: Mad Max throttle assembly.
Lucky you don't have a MILL or you'd be making an aluminum primary case for the throttle assembly. It looks like it will work and no one else has one. I like it just because I like it.
Re: Zoomies
I don't care how they sound, I like the fuck your noise laws attitude. I been riding my Chopper for years with four unmuffeled straight pipes coming from the exhaust. So far even when I have the bad luck of having a cop pull up right next to me at a light and I have to sit there with it sounding lik...

Re: LS3 test ride
Rick, I still have the same STANDARD as when I first met you. They don't look as good as the sports model but once you have the TRUNK you will love it. If you want a good looking fast bike that isn't worth a shit on a long trip try a V8 Chopper. They can do long trips but then you gotta add baggage ...

Re: Electrical upgrade
Nice job Ric. I think it would have been great if the factory did it, but for fifty grand you shouldn't EXPECT sanitary wiring. If the BH factory engineers added a master relay that GM, FORD, CHRYSLER etc, forgot, they did it because after they looked at their wiring they knew they needed something ...

Randy, I understand what you're saying and I understand why you ME and others like the Big Blocks. The WOW factor is definitely there with a Big Block, and when you pull away from the crowd and lay a healthy strip of rubber at will, an instant LEGEND is born in the minds of onlookers. The LS3 may in...

Re: LS3 test ride
I been saying for years how overated the BigBlocks are, even mentioned that they really best in trucks. I got a V8 chopper with only a 350 cu inch motor that will beat a stock BH 502. I don't consider my V8 Chopper to be fast. Stan has some 575 HP bikes without nitrous, they're fast. I rode an LS3 i...

Re: LS 470 for Berzerker
This will be one they'll talk about in the V8 bike world for many years. I like the LS engines better than SBC also. I think the weak link will be the NESCO. I also think if you're happy with the engine etc and the trans becomes an issue you'll somehow overcome with god only knows what but somehow a...

You might as well add in a little MEMOREX tape going thru a hidden speaker somewhere of the ENEMY gagging on his blood whenever you first turn on the ignition.
