A GOOD ANSWER JOHN
Re: crash
Does someone sign you guys out of the nursing home before riding? (I'm just busting balls, not disrespecting anyone) Kudos to you guys... my father didn't even live to see 60 and you guys are living life the way very few people know how. Keep it up! I am 75 now and still ride regularly. A couple of...

Re: Carburetor Vs EFI
My view is their are virtually millions of cars and trucks with small block Chevys in them in every location, they all had the same carb when new. They all ran fine. My bike has been at the top of the highest mountain in Colorado to below sea level without any problems. Always runs good. Carbs rely ...
Re: crash
Looks good enough to be on the next cover of the Boss Hoss magazine along with a little story about the miracles of modern medicine.

I had Carb Mike do my stock Quadrajet 9 years ago. Not one problem since that day.
Re: crash
I know both LaFong and his wife who is the sweetest lady you could ever meet pretty well. He has many interests and many talents. He will not be bored. He is a master woodworker among other things. John has always liked motorcycles and motorbikes and scooters, pretty much anything with a motor and t...
Re: BEATING the Crash
Dear New Friends, Most respectfully, there is scientific info on the REVERSE trike configuration that proves it out corners and out brakes two wheelers of equal weight. The THREE tires have flat bottoms, hence more road contact. The stability is maximized with correct frame design, (Can Am- like); ...
Re: crash
You guys can stop with trying to get John on a trike. It aint gonna happen. He is a good rider and could ride a regular bike for many more years if he wanted to. The Boss Hoss is not a Ducati and we were on roads made for Ducati's, there was hardly ever a straight section and the turns were tight. ...

Re: crash
There were about 20 bikes from our club and a few guests on a ride through some twisty mountains up in the pines. It was two lane road, one lane each direction. We were going pretty fast but not to fast for normal bikes. Boss Hoss is not the best bike for those kinds of roads. My opinion is the curv...

Re: EASY STARTING AFER A MONTH
The alternator belt on my V8 Chopper does not sqeak, my drive belt on my Boss Hoss also does not squeak. I have a bike not a trike but if you bring your trike to me here in Las Vegas I will bet my 2000 dollars against your 1000 dollars that I can fix it. You pay for parts. It can be fixed but you ne...

EASY STARTING AFER A MONTH
QUICKER STARTING If you have a bike with a mechanical fuel pump instead of an electric one there can be a starting problem. When I let my V8 Chopper sit to long it lets the gas evaporate out of the float bowl. When I go to start it the battery must spin the motor for a while to get the mechanical fu...

Re: HEADLIGHT BRIGHTNESS
Thanks for clearing that up. I have been running an LED with no problems with a hot plug, I changed to the trucklite to get their reflector instead of my stock reflector which was designed for a normal bulb.

Re: Boss Hoss NHRA
BOSS HOSS or V8 CHOPPER can not sell the bikes much cheaper then they are now using new motors and transmissions, forks, frames, lights, wheels etc and paying for someone to put them together and paying for all the overhead that goes into manufacturing the product. In my view a cheaper motor by a co...

Re: HEADLIGHT BRIGHTNESS
The install is a 10 minute job and a flat and a phillips screwdriver are all the tools needed. I'm glad your install went well. My stock bulb got so hot it melted the plastic socket. I had to solder in and shrink wrap a new socket. But it was certainly worth it. The high beam is really something, i...

Re: HEADLIGHT BRIGHTNESS
THANK YOU, Texas Scooter Guy and RANDY BURKEY, after the new OPT7 headlight did not turn on I returned it and bought the TRUCKLITE that you guys were happy with and I am now a believer. My Boss Hoss has NEVER had such good light at night as it has now. It is way better than my hopes and expectations...

Re: HEADLIGHT BRIGHTNESS
My new OPT7 complete headlight arrived but for some reason does not light. The OPT 7 bulb without the complete reflector works so they are refunding my money. I have now ordered the trucklite assembly and will try that.

I just ordered a similar one from OPT7, its a complete light and reflector, about the same price as the TRUCK LITE you show. Hopefully I will be happy with it. I would have bought the one you showed but I am a day late.

Re: HEADLIGHT BRIGHTNESS
I installed the OPT7 LED headlight bulb with no problems. When I look into the light its much brighter than an H4 but on the hi way it only seems a little better than the H4, better but not great. I would like a light that throws out a stronger beam farther down the road. This was an improvement but...

Re: ARNOTT AIR SHOCKS
Its been some days now since I cleaned a valve in the distribution block and the shocks have not lost any air. Life is good as my old Boss Hoss is like new again. Everything is working perfectly. Trans shifts like new, rear tire is new, air shocks don't leak at all, and a new LED light bulb was put ...

Re: New Winters Transmission
You can buy a V8 Chopper today with a strong transmission already in it that will EASILY beat a 502 powered BOSS HOSS for less money than a WINTERS converted BH. V8 Choppers have models with 575 HP stock and an option of 675 HP and the trans is not very parasitic. I would recommend a new Boss Hoss t...

Re: Another new owner for the BH factory
I see Europe as the first to make the emissions laws to tough for the V8 bikes as we know them today. Sure it could be done but just the testing alone costs a fortune and unless they will sell thousands of bikes its not likely they will jump through the necessary hoops to be certified to meet the re...

Thanks for the translation. It sounds like the Winters trans is finally the answer to the trans problems for BOSS HOSS owners. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.
