Re: Boss hoss dealers

Here is a suggestion for Ricky to consider. I THINK THE FACTORY SHOULD SELL KITS AGAIN. Boss Hoss started out selling kits and maybe its time to once again offer them. In my opinion there will never be enough V8 bike customers, they are a unique segment of the Motorcycle world. The prices of all V8 ...

Re: Boss hoss dealers

As I see it the trike guys have it easy no matter what brand V8 trike they have. The engine, trans, and rear axles are all common automotive products. The brakes, wheels and tires are also automotive products. If the factory supplies frame, fork and body parts I can't see the lack of dealers being a...

Re: Boss hoss dealers

Just want to remind you guys that V8 Chopper does not have any dealers and they seem to do just fine, they grow every year. They build a great product and they appoint a few selected motorcycle shops that they feel confident in to do work on customers bikes if need be. There are different ways to ru...

Re: MOTOR MOUNTS

I'm sure Ricky has this on his huge "plate" of issues to look into. But I want to add this too. Some of the earlier frames also cracked at the top shock mounts. Some then had theirs modified with gusset plates or fabricated "triangulation rods" that bolted in place at the shock ...

Re: MOTOR MOUNTS

I also think it would be better if the frames had thicker wall tubing, it wouldn't amount to much difference in money and it wouldn't gain more than ten pounds.

Re: MOTOR MOUNTS

Randy the V8 Chopper frames have thicker wall tubing. I think the BH frames are still plenty strong enough to not need the top motor mounts to help keep the front down tubes from breaking. The engine doesn't need them to help keep it secured in the frame, I'm sure of that. If the front down tubes we...

At least ChevyGirl has a bike, you don't so maybe you should be first, it looks better if you have one just to lend a little credibility to your suggestion.

Re: MOTOR MOUNTS

I will start out with the fact that the motor mounts on my 2003 BH have so far never broken. The only reason I can think of why any of them break is because the front down tubes on the frame try to flex a little when the bike forks bottom out or a big bump or pothole is hit at speed. The question I ...

Right away it seems like you have another great idea, probably the reason you were such a success. Since you are now acting as CEO we're all waiting to see how you implement it.

Re: Boss hoss dealers

I feel bad that Geez and ChevyGirl since they were such successful business owners didn't buy Boss Hoss. We wouldn't have to worry about being called DICKHEAD or some other name that would crush us and drive away all but the most hardened of motorcycle buyers into purchasing new Vespas. Also no deal...

I see many women that don't want to be identified because they feel vulnerable, but that vulnerability feeling usually keeps them low key and not quite as confrontational with their comments. You come on here and subtley suggest that its the new owners fault that your friends are no longer a dealer ...

Re: Boss hoss dealers

I also think real names and a city are fine. If you don't want anyone to know you or you are wanted by some kind of authorities you should not be on here and you should not ride a V8 bike, they draw to much attention. Use UBER and a stolen credit card or an old bicycle. Travel at night, preferably i...

Re: Boss hoss dealers

I don't think any dealer can last if they only sell V8 bikes or trikes and no other brands. The V8 market is a small niche in the MC world and an expensive one. I would think that a MC or even a car dealer that has been in business for a number of years could add on the BH line. A car dealer might e...

I do it the way Barry does. Here is a picture of the extra 4 quart transmission oil tank on my bike. You are adding almost 5 quarts then Dave to a 7 quart system...almost doubling it...cool stuff...does California Boss Hoss still make that kit? We installed only one of those a few years ago.. Re: ECU Exchange Program for LS Bike and Trikes

I like the reliability of my old ZZ4 but a new LS series would probably even be better. With a new trans thats much stronger coupled with a high horsepower LS series engine I think the bikes will be the cat meow. A QUESTION FOR RICK: Do you have any better idea when the new website will be up? Will...

Carrying capacity in the bags and trunk would be a priority to me. Maybe a built-in section in each saddlebag to be able to carry a gallon of gas in each saddlebag? Anybody ever run out of gas yet? Nice to have a locking feature in a trunk for helmet, gloves, and jacket...... I think its easier to ...

Dave, have you seen the rear glove compartment on the newer model std. bikes ? You can hardly get your hand down inside, a lot different than my 02 !! I love the looks of the custom baggers now days. The only problem is they ain't got no power !! What do you all think, as far as "sales volume/...

DAVE & BH.JPG I like the trunk in the Standard model BH, please don't get rid of that. If you guys make a mono suspension with bags the bikes rear could be narrower overall and bags still useful which would be good.I think Boss Hoss Concepts made a BH with a mono suspension once. Personally I f...
