Re: ANNIVERSARY
The V8 Chopper draws an even bigger crowd than the Boss, especially when I start it up as the four pipes sound like a dragster. The guys on the Rocket 3 forum think their bikes draw many lookers but it isn't anywhere near what the V8 bikes draw. The Triumph Rocket is however the closest to a V8 bike...

Re: ANNIVERSARY
Its great to have a bike so many years and still like it. In the world of motorcycles V8 bikes are always the different one in the crowd, no matter what year it is. They are always powerful, no matter what size the V8 motor is. V8 bikes are addicting and there aren't any other bikes that can replace...

It seems to me you can have any type of bike you want, hot rod, cruiser, combination of both, etc. The bikes have come a long way in a short time. I knew Ricky wouldn't accept an inferior product. Nice work and I hope you sell some while at Sturgis.

Your bike looks better every time I see it. Just a side note for you...was in Kalispell, Montana overnight a week ago after doing the "Going to the Sun Road".. Sitting around the motel and 2 fellows from Vegas were there. After chatting a bit and telling them that I knew someone in Vegas ...

I was looking thru some paper work last night and I happen to come across the original ad for my Boss Hoss from Ebay. I bought it eight years ago in Nebraska on July 22 2008, time flys. Its my 8 year anniversary with this bike.

One time I burnt some loose rain gear onto the pipes. I still had over a thousand miles to go before I was back home so there was nothing I could do at the time. What amazed me was I did NOTHING and by the time I got home the stuff had disappeared completely. It just burnt off in a couple of days.

The 2003 was a B model trans, I think in 2001 it was an A model or the first year of the B model.

You might be able to get Chevrolet to split the costs. Talk to Robby Knivel, he is still trying to walk in his dads footsteps. I could probably do a jump in a hospital gown over a determined amount of pill bottles in front of a rest home with the other old senior inhabitants cheering in the back rou...

Did not sell me 502 bike with the Vanguish trans in it after I won it on ebay. I will be much better off with an LS 3 & this trans. I talked with Bob and Mark, I will wait it out.

I bought all the parts to rebuild my old Nesco when they were available and they're still in the box. I was afraid the Nesco might take a shit and the bike would be worthless. It's good to know that there is a new and really good alternative to the old transmissions, these bike will run forever if t...

Best I can do is suggest taking the grand and bribing security, they get 15 bucks an hour so its a possibility, but you're right no one ever listens to me so you might miss this one.

This is more than just good news, its great news. The new bikes that come equipped with that trans and a 525 HP LS engine or even more are going to be great bikes. Its taken years but it seems to be finally becoming a reality. WILL THEY RETRO FIT INTO THE OLD BIKES?

I suggested a drop out crossmember and all hell broke loose once. The plug in the bottom the radiator for a petcock is another long overdue feature, the gas lines with quick connects is great. Ricky is sanitizing the Boss Hoss and its about time, there was no reason this couldn't have been done year...

Re: Adding a handlebar rear brake
I been riding big bikes for 59 years and before that scooters and whizzers. I bought a new Triumph Rocket 3 less than a year ago and it has ABS brakes. The front and rear brakes are separate with the normal foot brake for the rear and handlebar lever for the front. ABS brakes feel just like normal b...

I am not talking about trikes, only bikes. Trikes have better brakes than bikes even if they seem like there is plenty of room for improvement.

Re: brembo brakes
The brakes on any Boss Hoss I ever rode are not great, they will barely lock up a wheel if they even do. The pads don't last real long. The bike weighs a lot and the factory has tried many kinds of brakes over the years to try and get better brakes. They will fade rather quickly on a downhill mounta...

LaFong you are dead right on your rant about the suicide shift, there never was a suicide shift, it was a suicide clutch and a jocky shift which you correctly point out. The first jockey shifts were terrible because they were bolted or welded to the arm on the side of the trans that moved in close t...

How about triple stands or is it triple tree? I remember back in the day we called them triple clamps . That is correct, next was triple stands, then triple trees. I used to make narrowed ones in the machine shop for glide legs. You probably remember slugs which actually would work good on BH legs ...
